If you are a potential client, we would kindly request that you submit your enquiry through the Contact page. Filling out the relevant information here will allow us to respond to your query more accurately and quickly and save us from having to email you for further information.

If you are a professional wanting to make a referral, or for all other enquires, it would be best to first make contact via email:

Voicemail or Text Message is not monitored regularly so there may be a delay in getting back to you.

Self-referrals are accepted.

Dr Rawal also works in partnership with psychiatrists, and regularly accepts referrals from clients under their care.

Sessions are 50 minutes long.

Dr Rawal offers both long-term and short-term therapy.

Several factors can impact how many sessions a client may have. This includes the time and financial commitment a client can make, previous life events and client history, the type of therapy they are looking for and the things they might like help with.

A flexible outlook on the number of sessions is ideal and is something that you can review with Dr Rawal at intervals during the therapy.

If you have only a certain number of sessions that you can commit to, it is possible to think together about the best and most realistic way to use them and to complete a focused piece of work. The initial consultation is the place to begin exploring this together.

Before booking a consultation session, where a slot is available, Dr Rawal is happy to offer a free 15-minute telephone conversation to answer any questions you may have and to ensure that a consultation would be a viable next step. Please complete the contact form on the ‘Contact Us’ page to start with.

If both our diaries work and the slot is available, a consultation session will be set up for you and the therapeutic agreement will be sent to you with more details about how the process works. This way you can check that you are happy with the terms before proceeding. The paperwork will need to be completed before the initial consultation, and where you are self-funding, the fee for each session will need to be paid in advance to ensure your booking.

Where you are paying through health insurance and you would like Dr Rawal to bill the insurer on your behalf, you will need to provide your membership number, authorisation code and confirm the number of sessions that have been authorised. Please note the therapy agreement is always with the client and so you are responsible for all costs incurred and any outstanding payments that have not been covered/paid by insurance.

A consultation session is a chance for Dr Rawal to understand more about your situation and to ensure she is the right person to help. It is also a chance for you to ask any further questions you may have about the process. Together you can decide if you are a good fit, and which approach will be best for you.

Please note that the therapy agreement applies to the duration of any work you do with your therapist.

You are free to terminate therapy at any time and there is no minimum or maximum time commitment.

If you are self-funding, you can pay through direct bank transfer in advance of your session.

If you would like to pay via health insurance, please let us know which insurer you are with, and we can confirm the fee, based on our contract with them. You will then need to ensure that you have authorisation from them for your sessions under ‘psychology sessions’. You are responsible for payment and any shortfalls in payments not covered by your health insurance. Any issues around cover are based on your policy and are between you and your insurer. Dr Rawal is happy to provide you with a receipt for any payments you make.

We are approved providers of psychological therapy by a range of health insurers including BUPA, AXA PPP, Cigna, WPA, Vitality, Aviva and Aetna.

Therapy slots are usually offered on a weekly basis, on the same day, at the same time and this ongoing slot is reserved for you.

Where the relevant notice is not given for cancellations, or the number of free with notice cancellations is exceeded, the session is charged in full in line with the therapy agreement.

Therapy aims to provide a private and confidential space for you (with some exceptions and these are discussed at the consultation and within the therapy agreement).

Where other professionals are involved, or you are referred by a psychiatrist, Dr Rawal will work in partnership with them to provide the best care possible, with your consent.

For further information on how data is collected, stored and used please see the privacy policy.

Demand for slots can be high, and as there is no fixed period for therapy, it is difficult to know when a slot will become available and on which day or time it will be. For this reason, we do not hold waiting lists. The best thing to do is contact us to see if a suitable slot is available when you are looking to begin therapy. If there isn’t a slot available at that time, you are always welcome to check back again in the future.

We have been delivering online therapy as well as in person therapy for years and find both are effective.

The format of therapy is less about effectiveness and more about choice. Some clients will have a preference to be seen in person, while others will opt for the benefits of online therapy which include the convenience and comfort of being in their own home, or to still access therapy while they are travelling and away from home.

However, online therapy may not be suitable for everyone and this is something that is explored at the consultation.

Sessions are by appointment only, therefore we do not offer a crisis service. Due to high demand and changing availability of slots, we do not operate a waiting list.

If you are in crisis or in need of urgent support, please refer to these organisations who may be able to offer support.

Yes, we offer online EMDR Therapy, and this is the preference for most of our clients.

International clients are welcome, and this practice frequently provides services to clients outside of the UK. Payments must be made in advance, in pounds sterling, and certain terms, conditions and limitations may apply depending on region and services offered.
